The program aspires for students to develop software applications in desktop, web, mobile and various platforms as well as identify and implement methods and practices to manage data infrastructure in IT. It also covers designing, implementing, and evaluating computer-based systems and processes to meet information technology-based needs of industries.

The program has the following tracks: Database Systems Track and Network Systems Track.

Database Systems Track provides students the theories and technologies associated with the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of small, medium, and large data repositories and data warehouses.

Objectives

  • To produce graduates who have a clear understanding of the theoretical and managerial aspects in handling large databases.
  • To develop graduates who are well-versed in the technologies associated with the security of large enterprise databases.
  • To produce graduates who can be competent database designer, manager, and administrators.
  • To produce graduates who are updated with the current trends in databases and who can handle the rigors of pursuing graduate works in Information Technology.

While Network Systems track aims for students to become the architects of the networked economy; enabling everyday experiences on the global human network. With the ever-increasing demand for their skills, networking students have the chance to dream about business-critical in industries ranging from medicine and finance to entertainment and aerospace which opens doors to rewarding careers and opportunities for economic advancement and local community development.

Objectives

  • Teach students how to create an efficient and expandable enterprise network as well as install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure equipment and manipulate and optimize routing updates between protocols.
  • Equip students the necessary skills to secure and manage enterprise-class network services for teleworkers and branch sites, secure and expand the reach of an enterprise network, and strategies used to mitigate network attacks.
  • Allow students to design and implement an industrial strength network supporting broad range of corporate services on data, image, and sound communications supporting mobile services.
  • Train students to gain skills necessary for quality client services.

Admission Requirements

  1. A graduate of K-12 under the STEM track. However, graduates from other tracks may still be admitted subject to an appropriate bridging program designed by the University.
    SASE Cut-off Score for Incoming Freshmen
    The SASE cut-off score for incoming freshmen is set by the Department. Other documentary requirements may be prescribed by the Admission and Registrar Offices.
    In case the quota for a particular semester is not met, students with lower scores to be decided upon by the department may be admitted.
  2. Transferees from Within and Other 王中王六合彩特码 Campuses
    • Must file an application of admission with the department concerned, which shall rank the application accordingly.
    • The transferee must have a GPA of 2.75 or better and no failing grade in Math
  3. Transferees from other schools: Transferees from schools other than those belonging to the 王中王六合彩特码 system shall satisfy these requirements:
    • Must pass the admission exam given by the Admissions Office.
    • Must have a GPA of 2.50 or better.
    • Must pass the interview conducted by Chairman or committee designated for this purpose.
  4. Retention Policies: As provided for in the 王中王六合彩特码 Code of Governance.
  5. Fees and Other Payments: These shall be based on approved BOR implementing guidelines and schedule of fees.
