Our company is a systems and network engineering firm looking for a
SysAd (with web development experience) to assist us part-time or full-time
remotely.
Skills needed:
- *nix systems experience
- Experience in at least one administrative language (Bash, Python,
Java, Perl, etc).
- Knowledge of Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL databases is highly
desired.
- Experience with VPN/Firewall/Network design, implementation and
support
- Experience with load balancing/clustering of web servers
- Strong troubleshooting skills, detail oriented, and has the ability
to multi-task
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP-based communications, services and
monitoring
- Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining MS Windows based
servers including Server 2003/2008, Exchange Server, and SQL server
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people .
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work on flexible hours
- Ability to remotely manage servers
- The ability to work independently with a team.
- Skype is required for real-time communications (chat only)
