Stratcon Singapore Pte Ltd (STRATCON) is a consultant and developer of waste-to-energy facilities and renewable energy projects regionally. Stratcon is working on projects in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Australia and Cambodia.

Position Description: Sales Engineer / Consultant – The Philippines

The Consultant shall be primarily focused on driving sales and product awareness in the Palm Oil, ethanol and other related industries.

The Consultant’s Primary Duties under this Contract

  • Function as Bio-Energy Industry local specialist
  • Function as Sales Account Executive for the accounts assigned.
  • Manage distribution channels as assigned.
  • Identify new distribution channels and search local databases for leads as directed.
  • Train, motivate and monitor distribution outlet sales efforts and when appropriate, sales staff.
  • Make direct sales and promotion calls on identified contractors, consultants, Ministries, organizations, distribution outlets and House Accounts.
  • Coordinate Territory quoting activity and provide follow-up support.
  • Work with Installers and Stratcon team to drive sales and projects.
  • Negotiate and secure orders under Stratcon guidelines and direction.
  • Identify, organize, support and attend Territory trade shows as appropriate.
  • Determine need for, and if appropriate, organize and lead Territory distribution outlet annual area sales and training meeting.
  • Provide advice and direction on product offering, pricing and promotions as appropriate for the territory.
  • Provide monthly reports as follows:
  • Provide monthly written report and update on quotes for the Territory – due on the last working day of each month.
  • Provide monthly written report and update on Territory activities and plans for the upcoming period – due on the last working day of each month.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Review for Stratcon with a focus on markets, opportunities, customers, improvement opportunities, review and agree on revenue targets, and HR development of other staff.
  • Other duties as may from time to time be identified, agreed and assigned.
  • Population of a contact database and sales management system to ensure that the team follows opportunities, cross sells and creates brand awareness to drive subsequent sales with highly localized but internationally managed team with superior product support for world class products.
  • Provide by 5:00pm each Friday, an actual schedule that was performed by The Consultant during the week, including visits made, sales calls, other activities, and the outcomes of all the activities that were performed by The Consultant.

The consultant shall also look for opportunities for other Stratcon services and solutions in bio-energy including but not limited

  • Biogas Power (design, build and operate),
  • Biomass (design, build and operate),
  • Microgrids (design, build and operate),
  • Rural Electrification and Municipal Waste to Energy (design, build and operate),
  • Consulting works to Government and Industry for expert services including technology assessment, feasibility studies, project management and implementation capability).

The Candidate

The Successful Candidate will be an energetic person with strong interpersonal skills needed to deal with the various in country partners.

Any language skills are an advantage – Spoken and Written English, Tagalog or Visayas.

Computing skills are a must - including proficiency in MS word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Explorer and MS Outlook.

Working Conditions

  • The Candidate will work a five day week based.
  • The Candidate may be expected to travel within The Philippines as part of this appointment. Travel outside of The Philippines may be required for sales conferences and trade shows.
  • The Candidate may be located for work in the offices of other local partners within Thailand.
  • The Candidate may be deployed to work on consulting projects and will be remunerated under a separate consulting agreement.

Remuneration

Base retainer and commissions apply.

Depending on the capability of the individual retained in this role, there will be consulting opportunities as part of the work load with training also.
