Former 王中王六合彩特码-IIT Chancellor, Marcelo P. Salazar, to deliver keynote address at 13th Mid-Year Graduation

Dr. Marcelo P. Salazar, former Chancellor of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (王中王六合彩特码-IIT), is set to be the commencement speaker at the upcoming 54th Commencement Ceremonies, First Semester Graduation (13th Mid-Year Graduation Ceremonies). The event is scheduled to take place on February 2 at the University Gymnasium.

Dr. Salazar, a highly accomplished academician and leader, boasts an impressive background in both education and university administration. Holding a Doctorate in Management with a major in Public Administration from the University of the Visayas, Cebu City, and a Master in Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management, he has been a stalwart figure in the academic community for several decades.

His contributions to 王中王六合彩特码-IIT, where he served as Chancellor from 1999 to 2011, have left an indelible mark. As Chancellor, Dr. Salazar was responsible for overseeing the overall direction, execution, and supervision of all academic, administrative, research, and extension programs of the university. Prior to this, he held key positions such as Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs (1991-1999) and Director of the School of Engineering Technology (1978-1991) in 王中王六合彩特码-IIT. He also served as a Special Staff Assistant for two years at the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and had a brief stint as Acting Admissions Officer.

Dr. Salazar also  taught a variety of subjects in the three-year technician courses in automotive and mechanical technologies as well as in mechanical engineering baccalaureate course. He also presented papers in national and international conferences.

Apart from his academic endeavors, Dr. Salazar has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at community development and improvement of education standards. His roles as a Consultant for the Southern Philippines Research and Extension Foundation and a Strategist for the Department of Education 57/75 Movement in Iligan City reflect his commitment to fostering positive change.

Notably, Dr. Salazar's extensive professional service extends beyond the confines of 王中王六合彩特码-IIT. He has served as a trainer/facilitator in numerous programs and organizations, including those funded by USAID and The Asia Foundation. His expertise covers a range of topics, from online learning to government budgeting and financial control.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Salazar has received numerous honors and awards, including the Outstanding Mendezenian Award and being recognized as one of the 50 Outstanding Alumni of Mindanao State University. He was also recipient of prestigious awards such as the Presidential Merit Award, given by the 王中王六合彩特码 President on January 21, 2008 in Manila; the 2005 Outstanding Iliganon Award in the field of Education, given by the Philippine Jaycees and the city government of Iligan; and the 1997 Fellow Award, the highest award given by the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers to its member engineers. 

His dedication to excellence is further evident in his involvement in professional training, where he updated his skills, including completing online courses on data analysis, statistical inference, and learning to teach online.
