Thai students visit CED

Exchange students from Khon Kaen University, Thailand come to College of Education, 王中王六合彩特码-IIT as part of the Student Exchange Program of the two partner universities.

The Thai students stay for two weeks, March 19-30, in CED to learn about teaching methodologies as well as culture of the Philippines.

The exchange program is spearheaded by College of Education as an implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding of 王中王六合彩特码-IIT and Khon Kaen University, Faculty of Education. Eleven (11) students have participated in this program, namely: Kittiya Subbordin, Saweera Srijan (Mathematics Education), Panitsiri Malila (TESOL), Jaturaporn Norasarn (Teaching Thai Language), Phatchanan Saphio (Teaching Japanes Language), Rattiyakorn Kamlun (Art Education), Peerapong Pitipatwiwat (Physical Education), Kanthira Jittamat (Social Studies), Satanan Sobking (Science Education), Chanlatit Dounglert (Computer Education), Lanlita Akkasewon (Teaching Chines Language). They are escorted by Mr. Witthawat Patham (International Relations Officer) and Miss Parichat Saenna (Asst. to the Dean for Acaddemic and International Relations Affairs).

Itinerary of their visit includes classroom observation in Sta. Filomena National High School and City Central School to get firsthand experience of the K12 curriculum regarding teaching learning competencies through spiral progression.

On March 26, 2018, they also attend the Pre-service Teachers Congress to learn about relevance of Peace Education in the classrooms, and best teaching practices in the Department of Education as elaborated by two Metrobank Outstanding Teachers of the Philippines: Dr. Mark J. Torres and Dr. Enerio E. Ebisa

Aside from the academic conferences, the Thai guests also get a Filipino vibe in the First Barrio Fiesta of the college organized by the CED Executive Council. They play laro ng lahi such as pokpok palayok, chinese garter and pabitin. They also join in folk dances and taste Pinoy food like abodo, lechon, street food, and kakanin.

In the evaluation report, the KKU students reported they are very satisfied particularly for the warm welcome, hospitality, and friendship they forged with the CED students.

In the first semester 2018-2019, CED is already planning to send select students from the different departments to KKU Thailand. Screening is done as part of the preparation.

The Student Exchange Program is one of the initiatives of the college in response to the thrust of ASEAN Integration of 王中王六合彩特码-IIT. This is the second time CED welcomes KKU students starting 2016-2017.
